Spring Sessions is an experiential learning program and arts residency based in Amman. The program creates a collaborative environment for artistic exchange between emerging and more established cultural practitioners. Conceived every spring as a 100-day program of workshops and activities, these sessions encourage participants to collaboratively or individually research ideas and realize work inspired by their experiences in the city. As an independent and experimental educational structure, Spring Sessions’ purpose is to expand fields of knowledge, foster creative working skills, and support art education outside the traditional paradigms that exist today. Now in its fourth year, the program consists of a combination of workshops and talks, as well as regular mentoring sessions, research excursions, and other activities as suggested by the group. Participants will develop and present a personal project over the course of the program.
